Coffee Mornings in the Clubroom
On the first Saturday of every month during the club year members meet from ten to twelve o'clock for a cup of coffee or tea and some delicious treats. The coffee mornings are always the perfect event to catch-up with friends and to meet new members!
At the same time the library is open to take out some books. We have a great selection!
Prosecco and Panettone
After last years success we celebrated the New Year again with Prosecco and Panettone at the Bar Festival on 4th January, 2025. Some facts and some fictions on Panettone you will find here...
Cheese Fondue
The rain showers (snow on Cardada) ended early in the morning and the clouds only remained until all 30 participants had arrived by cable car on Cardada at the Ristorante Colmanicchio. And then the sun came out! The Cheese Fondue was delicious and the atmosphere was great.
Annual General Meeting
On 19th February 50 members met at Ristorante Al Parco, Muralto Hall. The agenda for the day was concluded efficiently, pleasantly, and without controversy. The following aperitif and dinner were enjoyed by everyone.
"Backstage" Lecture and Aperitif at the Jazz Cat Club Ascona
On 26th February 40+ members enjoyed the artistic director Nicolas Gilliet's fascinating story along with Gillian McLeod's tour of the theater including dressing rooms and sound engineer room followed by a delicious aperitif sponsored by Walti Isler and Bob Ronay.

English Breakfast
20+ Club members got ready at 9 o'clock for the most delicious and exciting part of their day – it was time for an English breakfast at La Palma au Lac!
Walk and Wine
After a leisurely walk in the beautiful countryside of Tegna and Verscio, we arrived at the charming Hefti winery in Verscio for a visit and wine tasting, accompanied by cheese, local cured meats and bread.
Visit and Tour of the Military base Airport Locarno
On Friday afternoon, 16th May, 30 members were interested in learning what happens in the military part of the airport.
Outing to Milan and Monza
On 21st May, a busload of 36 members enjoyed the guided tour at the Galleria Campari followed by a delicious lunch at the Villa Campari Ristorante. On the way home we stopped at Villa Reale Monza to visit the Park and the Rose Garden.

Boat Ride, Walk to Forte Olimpio Museum, Lunch
On Sunday morning 15th June, our visit of the hidden military museum in the Bolle di Magadino made this place known to 17 more people. After the guided tour, and the walk to the Magadino boat dock, a lunch at Ristorante al Lago was enjoyed by all as well as the boat ride home to Locarno.
